The 3rd year project
This is it, we are in the endgame now. I am in 3rd year in Bellecour École and its time to choose on what I will spent time, energy and coffee on this last, dreadful year.
Before The Highwayman
At the beginning, we all had to think of a concept, develop it and finally present it to a jury for them to select which one can be produced. It was a tough month and my own project was not accepted. I had to part ways with the friends I made it with.

Stellar Lantern 2019-2019
What now ?
5 projects made it.
- Soleil, a coop non-violent action/adventure game.
- Butterfly Catcher, a adventue/exploration VR game.
- Va’a, an action/adventure flying game.
- The Annihilation Show, a arena brawler.
- The Highwayman, a 2D strategy game with management aspects.
The thing is, the concept is not the only thing to take into account while forming the new groups. Friends, roles and skills and available and full teams all come into play here.
Be fast, be efficient !
Why the Highwayman ?
You read the title, so it’s no secret.
Va’a was full, The Annihilation Show was full. I’m pretty good at programming in Unity, so the three remaining groups were open to me joining them. Though choice, I had friends in these three groups.
However, Soleil was not for me. I was not really interested in it. It was neat, don’t take me wrong but not for me.
Remained The Highwayman and Butterfly Catcher. Working on a VR game was both exiting and scary and that’s why I hesitated for a long time. The Highwayman story and universe scratched my itch for tactical and stealth game.
It may sound stupid but I on’t really remember what made me choose between them. Go figure.
What is The Highwayman ?
I talked enough. Let’s show you what it’s all about.
PrésentationThat’s it for now. Until nest post !
